Top 100 Rules & Guidelines |
| |
| |
| Why Rules? |
| This is a
competition. In competition, you always have "rules" that attempt to
ensure "fair" play. In addition, a couple of our rules are designed
to keep out players we don't want involved in the game for one reason or
another. Other rules are designed so that the Top 100 is not treated
like it is an award or a link graphic. It is a competition. |
| |
| Unique Domains Only |
| Only sites located on a
unique domain are allowed in the Top 100. Unique domains have a web
site address similar to
http://www.yourwebsite.com. If your site or pages are part of a
larger site or domain, or has a website address similar to
http://yoursite.mainsite.com or
http://www.maindomain.com/yoursite/ -- we will not accept it into the
Top 100. |
| |
| No "Anonymous"
sites |
| Your site must
have a "contact" or "about" page that identifies the principals or
company, provides a street address, an email address, a phone number, and
identifies the "chief" person in charge. |
| |
| One Web Site
Listed in the TOP 100 |
| Some agents or
companies have more than one web site. We only allow you to list one
site in the Top 100. This also applies to companies that create
multiple corporations, etc., with different web sites. |
| |
| If you have
multiple sites |
| Since we're
interested in counting your traffic, you may place your Top 100 graphic on
your other sites. |
| |
| Your Main Page |
| The graphic must
appear on the main page of your web site. For most sites, this would
be the home page. |
- "Splash" or "intro" pages do not count
as your main page.
- The main page must be included in your
site's primary navigation menu.
- The main page must contain a navigation
menu to various sections and pages of your site.
|
| One graphic per
page |
| You may not post
more than one Top 100 graphic to a page. You may not "hide"
additional graphics on the page to overcount your visitors. |
| |
| Spamming the Directory |
|
We expect everyone to be
ethical, but some fail to live up to those expectations. Thousands
of people visit our site and the sites in the Top 100. If a Top 100
member is unethically manipulating their site's performance, someone will
eventually figure out how. |
| |
| Probation / Limbo |
 |
|
Violations cause us to
place a site on "probation" and unless the offense is corrected, they are
deleted from the directory. We change the graphic to the one on the
right when we place a site on probation or in limbo. |
| |
| Report Errors
or Abuse |
| Report any errors
or abuse to
webmaster@realestateabc.com.
You have to be able to explain the error or how the abuse is occurring.
We rely on you. |
